Vigo County Man Tries To Hide From Police In Pond

VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Monday afternoon (5/13/19) two Indiana State Police Troopers attempted to serve an active warrant for conversion out of Vigo County on 35-year-old Kenneth Rogers, of Terre Haute, IN.

Officers couldn’t find Rogers at his home but they did spot him driving nearby on US 40 in Seelyville, IN.

Rogers refused to stop and led Troopers on a chase.

At one-point Rogers failed to make a turn and his truck stuck on a guide wire of a utility pole.

He eventually freed the truck and the chase continued reaching speeds as high as 85 miles per hour.

The pursuit ended on Struble Avenue, just west of Tabertown Road, when Rogers failed to negotiate a sharp curve and ran into a small body of water.

Rogers then got out the truck and attempted to hide in the water.

He was eventually arrested and taken to Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Conversion, Class A Misdemeanor (Vigo County Warrant)

Criminal Mischief, Class A Misdemeanor
