Vigo County Parks Superintendent To Take Position In Cincinnati

VIGO COUNTY, Ind.- The Superintendent for the Vigo County Parks Department has announced her resignation.

Kara Kish worked with the department for 10 years.

On Friday, Kish announced she would step down May 1st to accept the position as the new Deputy Director with Cincinnati Parks.

During her tenure at the Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department, Kish was awarded the National Recreation and Park Association’s Robert W. Crawford Young Professional award, the NRPA Young Professional Fellowship, and the AAPRA Young Professional Externship. Kara has also received the Outstanding Young Professional award and the Outstanding Educator award from the Indiana Park and Recreation Association and Outstanding Public Official from the Greenways Foundation of Indiana.
