VIGO COUNTY, Ind – The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an attempted Sexual Assault that occurred on Sunday (3/31/19).

Officers say that it happened around 7:00 pm in the Marion Heights area in West Terre Haute.

The juvenile victim told officers that she was grabbed from behind in her yard by a white male who was approximately 20 years old.

The girls said that she was taken to a wooded area near her home and that is when the suspect attempted a sexual assault.

The victim is described as a white male that was wearing a black hoodie type jacket, blue jeans and black and white shoes.

The victim also said that the man had scratches on his face and that he was clean shaven.
