Vigo Food And Beverage Tax Does Not Pass This Year

VIGO COUNTY,  Ind –  The Indiana Legislature ended their session this year on Wednesday night and one bill that died was the proposed food and beverage tax for Vigo County.

The goal was to use the one percent tax on food and beverages to generate revenue to help pay for a convention center.

Since the bill didn’t make it through this session, it can’t be brought up again for the rest of the year.
