Vigo Sheriff Warns Of Phone Scam

VIGO COUNTY,  Ind – The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office is warning of a phone scam in the area after being made aware of two scam calls. The first caller idenifies themselves as the IRS demanding funds, this call origniates from phone number 814-913-3008.
The second are callers identifying themsleves from United Health Care asking for social security numbers.  This call orginated from 833-896-7491.
The Sheriff’s office is reminding you that the IRS does not make phone calls and personal information such as social security numbers should not be give to anyone unless the caller has verified the identity of the caller.
