TERRE HAUTE, Ind –  Now that the 2018 election is over its time for officials to get ready for the 2019 municipal elections.

The Vigo County Election Board looking at possible sites to locate vote centers both in the spring primary and the general election.

Board President Kara Anderson told us Tuesday that all sites used in the 2018 general election in the city limits were being looked at.

Members are considering what sites were heavily used, ease of access, parking and room to accommodate machines and voters.

Another criteria is that that property owner must be willing to make the site available.

As of now Anderson said that the ISU campus vote center would not be used due to low voter turnout, lack of parking and difficult access.

No sites have been crossed off of the list or approved but officials are in need of a location on the south side.

Any site used in the spring primary must also be available for the fall election.
