Wanted Greene County Man Arrested After Being Found In Crawl Space

GREENE COUNTY, Ind – Greene County Police have arrested a man on multiple charges.

Officers went to Greene County home around 6 p.m. looking for 54-year-old Jesse Wayne Stephens whose probation and suspended sentence was revoked for an original murder charge.

Stephens barricaded himself inside the residence and the Indiana State Police Emergency Response Team was called in.

Stephens was arrested after being found hiding in the crawl space of the residence.

He is also now facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and resisting law enforcement.

A female in the residence, Michelle Sanders, is facing preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
