Woman Arrested After Overdose, Also Wanted In Other Counties

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Vermillion County Police have arrested a Rockville woman on several drug related charges.

Officers say that after an overdose situation, 24-year-old Elaine Nicole Smith of Rockville was arrested after receiving medical clearance.

She faces charges of Possession of Heroin, Illegal Possession of a Syringe, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Smith was also found to have active warrants out of both Clay and Vigo Counties.  Clay County charges include Auto Theft, Theft, and Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle.

Charges from Vigo County include Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Personal Injury.

Smith’s bond is set at $7,000.00 at Vermillion County with holds placed for both Clay and Vigo Counties.
