Woman Who Died Of Medical Issue At Sullivan Jail Identified

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. – The identity of the woman that died after having a medical episode at the Sullivan County Jail has been released.

An autopsy was performed Monday.

Indiana State Police say that 46-year-old Jamie Wilson of Shelburn was arrested Saturday for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

She was taken to the Sullivan County jail and placed in a holding cell that was equipped with video monitoring.

Jail staff saw Wilson experiencing a medical emergency.

They began first aid and she was taken to the Sullivan County where she was pronounced dead about an hour later.

A cause of death has not yet been determined.

Toxicology tests are pending and could take up to eight weeks.
