OAKTOWN, Ind. – A man was found dead in a Knox County coal mine around Noon on Friday.

34-year-old Jason Williams of Bloomfield was killed in an accident at Sunrise Coal.

The mining company says the accident happened while Williams was driving a “mantrip” underground.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
