VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. – Officials in Vermillion County to work to replace grandstands at the county fairgrounds that were destroyed by fire in January last year.
Even after settling with insurance companies they are still nearly $1 million short of the total cost of replacing the structures.
Leaders are working to come up with a new design that will cost less.
This year’s fair will have to make do with rented bleachers but hopes are to have new bleachers built before the end of the year.
If you would like to donate to the project, you can do so at the First Financial Bank of Cayuga.
