Two From Terre Haute And One From Brazil Arrested

VERMILLION/VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Several Police agencies have been following up on tips about drug activity.

Sunday evening just after 5 p.m. Clinton Police, the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office, Vigo County Police and West Terre Haute Police stopped a car driven by 35-year-old Laura D. Lockwood of Brazil after officers followed the vehicle across the county line into Vigo County.

Three people were ultimately arrested, and an infant child removed from the scene by Indiana Department of Child and Family Services.

Police arrested Lockwood on charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Neglect of Dependent Child.

22-year-old Ashlee N. Akers of Terre Haute is facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Illegal Possession of Syringe, Possession of a Legend Drug and Possession of a Synthetic or Look-a-like Drug and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

26-year-old Robert C. Grider of Terre Haute is facing a charge of Visiting a Common Nuisance.
