TERRE HAUTE, Ind – A plea deal for a Terre Haute man who pleaded guilty to attempted battery resulting in serious bodily injury and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

In February last year, 26 year old Devon Todd was involved in a disputed with several other individuals and threw a brick through a car windshield in the 2700 block of Fenwood. The victims then tried to drive away, and that is when Todd fired multiple shots into the vehicle.

Todd was ordered to serve two years of a six-year sentence on work release, and another year on home detention, with the remaining three years suspended to formal probation in addition to a lifetime ban on owning a firearm.

Todd has already served 539 days since his arrest.

Other drug dealing charges from another case were dismissed.
