Council Approves Funds To Help Lure New Jobs

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – The Vigo County Council approved $500,000 for Saturn Petcare at last night’s meeting.

The money would be used to help assist with pre-treatment needs at the former Kellogg’s facility in Seelyville.

Saturn Petcare is considering that location for a new pet food manufacturing plant.

If the Bremen, Germany company decides to come to Vigo County they would be investing $37 million in the community and hire 200 workers by the end of 2024.

Those jobs would pay approximately $18.60 per hour.

Saturn Petcare has not signed a purchase agreement yet.

Vigo County is currently one of the locations they are considering for their new facility.
