Troopers Arrest Two Found With Fake Credit Cards

PUTNAMVILLE, Ind – Wednesday afternoon (4/11/18) around 4p.m. an Indiana State Police Trooper stopped a car for speeding and erratic passing on eastbound Interstate 70 near the 35 mile marker.

While talking with the occupants, officers became suspicious and searched the vehicle.

Police found a computer, credit card imprinter, a credit card embosser, fake identification and credit cards, and numerous items believed to have been purchased with fake credit cards.

The fake cards were believed to have been used at various locations in the states of Illinois, Kentucky, and Missouri.

Police arrested the driver,  25-year-old Joseph A. Moon of Louisville, KY.  and passenger 24-year-old Xavier D. Smith on multiple charges including fraud.
