Suspect In Weekend Shooting Identified

VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Indiana State Police continue to investigate the deaths of Terre Haute Police Officer Rob Pitts and the homicide suspect.

Officers Pitts and the suspect who has now been identified as 21-year-old Christopher Wolfe of New Goshen, were both killed an exchange of gunfire at an apartment building on Linwood Street in the Garden Quarter Apartment complex last Friday (5/04/18).

Vigo County Coroner Dr. Susan Amos said that autopsy results show that Wolfe died as a result of a gunshot wound and the manner of death is still under investigation.

Police say that other details about this case are still being investigated.

Once the ISP investigation is complete, all the information will be turned over to Vigo County Prosecutor Terry Modesitt.
