Procession Route For Officer Rob Pitts

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind – Funeral services for Terre Haute Police Officer Rob Pitts will be held Wednesday starting at 11 a.m. at Hulman Center.

Following the services, the procession will be leaving the Hulman Center traveling south on 9th street, then east on Wabash, with the funeral coach stopping in front of the Terre Haute Police Department for the last call.

The procession will move on to 13th, then south to SR 641, then south to US41.

The procession will enter Sullivan on N.  Section St., then south to Washington, then west to Wolfenberger. Then right on Johnson into the cemetery.

At 20 mph they estimate the travel time for the lead vehicle to be around 1 hour and 35 minutes, from Hulman Center to Sullivan.

Many are expected to show their respect along the route including in the towns of Sullivan, Farmersburg and Shelburn.

Terre Haute and Sullivan Fire Departments will be putting up the Garrison Flag just inside Sullivan County at Heap Street and 41 in Farmersburg.

They are estimating up to 500 police officers and possibly 1500 citizens attending the cemetery service.

Traffic along the route and especially in Sullivan will be slowed or stopped during the procession.

US41 northbound through traffic at Sullivan will be temporarily diverted west on SR154, to SR63 north.

After the cemetery service, friends and family are encouraged to spend time remembering Rob with his family and friends at Sullivan Civic Center.
