TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – An electrical short may be the cause of a Sunday morning house fire.

Firefighters were called out 2416 North 16th Street around 8 a.m.

A man in the home was asleep at the time the fire started.

That man along with 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 birds were all able to get out unharmed.

One dog did have to be rescued.

No injuries were reported.
