PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind – A correctional officer at the Putnamville Correctional Facility has been arrested for allegedly taking drug contraband into the prison.

21-year-old Brian Morris, of Terre Haute, was arrested this past weekend on several drug related charges.

Prison investigators said they last week learned Morris would be attempting to bring contraband into the prison and arrested him on Saturday.

Morris was found with heroin and Suboxone, suspected synthetic marijuana.
