One Man Arrested After Shots Fired Sunday Morning

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – One man has been taken into custody by police after a short standoff early Sunday morning.
It happened around 1:30 A.M. at 1415 5th Avenue.
Police say that 3 to 4 gunshots were fired during an argument between 37 year old Michael Medley and his girlfriend. Police also say he pointed the gun at himself as they were leaving the area.
The Terre Haute Police Department Special Response Team was called to the scene.
They entered the home and arrested Medley.
He faces charges of Pointing a Firearm, Criminal Recklessness and Intimidation.
Medley is being held in the Vigo County Jail without bond and will make his first court appearance on Tuesday (10/9/18).
