VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Around 4:10 a.m. this morning the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency services were called to US 150 in Shirkieville, which located in Northwestern Vigo County, on the report of a car/pedestrian accident.

Police say that it appears that 31-year-old Jennifer Jackson, of West Terre Haute ran on to US 150 for an unknown reason and into the path of a pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup, 41-year-old Tim Boone, of West Terre Haute was unable to avoid striking Jackson.

Jackson was pronounced dead the scene and toxicology results are pending.

Boone was not injured, and toxicology results show that alcohol was NOT a factor in the crash.

Police are continuing their investigation.
