INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A date has been set in Marion County Court to hear a motion by former Vigo County Schools Superintendent Danny Tanoos on a motion to dismiss bribery charges.
Tanoos faces three counts of bribery for allegedly receiving around $100,000 worth of dinners and concert tickets and other items from Energy Systems Group in exchange for favorable recommendations on their contracts to perform millions of dollars of work for the school corporation.
Tanoos’ lawyers have claimed lack of jurisdiction and lack of specifics in the charges.
A hearing on the motion to dismiss will occur November 14th.
His jury trial is scheduled for December 6th.
