VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – The former Kellogg’s plant in Seelyville has a new owner.
Online records show that Hearthside Food Solutions purchased the eastern Vigo County facility for around $900,000 on October 10th.
The Chicago-based company is expected to invest approximately $25 million in the plant and could create up to 150 jobs.
At this time, there is not a timeline for when those jobs will open.
Hearthside specializes in snack foods like cookies, crackers, and snack bars. The company is also a leader in contract packaging.
Talks to bring pet food manufacturer Saturn Pet Care to the property on U.S. Highway 40 fell through earlier this year when that plant decided to move to the old Pfizer property in southern Vigo County.
