KNOX COUNTY, Ind.  – The name of a man who died while crashing during a police pursuit in Knox County has been released.

Around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon police spotted a vehicle that they thought may have been involved in a crime earlier that day.

When officers tried to stop the car, the driver who has now been identified as Joseph Robinson, refused to stop and led officers on a chase.

Eventually Robinson crashed and was ejected and killed.

A passenger in Robinson’s car bailed out during the chase and was later arrested

The preliminary investigation indicates that Robinson died from multiple internal injuries.

An autopsy is set for Friday,
