Carlisle Woman Convicted Of Dealing Drugs

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind –  A Carlisle woman faces up to 12 years in prison after being convicted of drug dealing.

49 year old Amanda Schmidtz was convicted on October 31 in Sullivan Superior Court and the jury also found Schmidtz guilty of being Habitual Offender, which carries an additional penalty of up to 20 years.

Schmidtz will be sentenced November 29th, in Sullivan Superior Court.

The investigation began with information developed by Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom.

The Sullivan County Sheriff was aided by the Vigo County Drug task force with additional personnel, as well as camera and specialty surveillance equipment.
