Rose Hulman Hosts Math Competition, TH South Does Well

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Carmel High School mathletes scored commanding victories across the board at Saturday’s Rose-Hulman Mathematics Competition, marking the tenth consecutive year the school has won the multi-state competition.

Carmel’s Kevin Liu, a senior and former national MATHCOUNTS champion, earned the day’s only perfect score, making his fourth consecutive perfect score at the event, hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute.

Carmel’s team scored 1,275 points overall at the event, which included more than 360 students from more than two dozen high schools in Indiana and Illinois. Culver Academies finished second with 858 points followed by Terre Haute South Vigo with 790.
