RENSSELAER, Ind. — A Terre Haute man has been identified as a suspect in connection with a fatal hit and run crash in Jasper County.
Deputies believe that 43-year-old Joseph Bland of Terre Haute was the driver of a semi that killed Melissa Deno of Rensselaer on October 10th.
The semi was found in East St. Louis, Illinois just a few days after the crash.
Police say that the semi ran over the car and sheared off its roof at the intersection of U.S. 231 and State Road 16.
Deno was pronounced dead at the scene.
