Slick Roads Made For Dangerous Morning Commute

INDIANA – It was a slick and dangerous drive to work for many drivers across central Indiana this morning.

Freezing rain created dangerous driving conditions and slick roads.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s office, Indiana State Police, other law enforcement agencies and first responders were kept busy dealing with many slide-offs and accidents on I-70, US 40 and other roadways.

No serious injuries were reported.

In Indianapolis, FOX59 TV reports that around 27 vehicles were involved in a pileup on 96th Street between Hazel Dell and Allisonville in Fishers.

That area was closed for closed for several hours while police and emergency crews work to clean it up.

A school bus arrived at the scene to keep drivers warm while crews worked to clean things up and police filled out reports.
