SULLIVAN, Ind – Sullivan Mayor Clint Lamb, and other city officials meet with engineers and interested contractors in a “pre-bid” meeting for decommissioning of the East Lagoon and the construction of an East Side mechanical lift station.
The East Lagoon collects all waste water from the City’s east side and was constructed in the 1960’s.
Sullivan’s phosphorous removal was also discussed.
Both projects are mandated by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
Mayor Lamb’s grant writing team secured a $700,000 grant from Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs which will be applied towards this approximately $2.5-million-dollar project.
Construction scheduled to start in 2019.
