Merom Man Faces Charges In Burglaries

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind – An arrest has been made in a burglary case in Sullivan County.

Police say that in late November someone broke into a storage area at the Merom College Institute and stole a chainsaw and other items.

Last week police were notified about some of those stolen items being pawned by Jesse Davis of Merom at First Cash and Pawn on Honey Creek Drive in Terre Haute.

Last week police were called to a burglary at a residence on 3rd Street in Merom where several items were stolen.

Police went to Davis’ home and saw a TV stolen form the house with the name of the owner etched on it in plain view.

Davis admitted to the crime and was arrested.

He is being held in the Sullivan County Jail on $43,000 bond.
