TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – A Vigo County child is recovering and will reportedly be okay after falling through ice in the southern part of the county.

It happened on Monday afternoon at the Cobblestone Crossings Apartment Complex.

The child was apparently walking across a pond when the ice gave way.

Someone saw it and alerted management.
