WHEATLAND, Ind. – A possible plea deal in a southern Indiana fatal stabbing that happened almost three years ago.

Police say that 42 year old Candice Charlton fatally stabbed 35-year-old Gerald Sturgeon back in February 2016.

The incident happened at a home in Wheatland just east of Vincennes.

Sturgeon died at a hospital after the attack.

Charlton was charged with murder.

Online court documents show that Charlton submitted a plea deal.

Court documents show a sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 18th.
