VIGO COUNTY, Ind – The Vigo County School Board will hold their first meeting in 2019 tonight at the administration building on Wabash Avenue.

This will also be the first meeting for newly elected board members Hank Irwin, Susan Powers, Rosemarie Scott and Joni Wise.

Jackie Lower, Mel Burks and Paul Lockhart are returning members and make up the rest of the board.

An organizational meeting will begin at 6 p.m., which will include the election of officers and setting meeting dates for the rest of the year.

The board is scheduled to address conflict of interest and nepotism policies.

The board also has two executive sessions set for 5 p.m. to discuss litigation and personnel issues and to hold training for school board members.
