PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind – The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department reported that freezing rain caused very slick conditions on some area roads today.

Deputies reported that many roads had a thin layer of ice making it hard even for emergency workers to stand.

A driver lost control at the bridge on Walnut Street just West of Greencastle. The vehicle went off the road and rolled over coming to rest upside down. The driver suffered minor injuries.
