Parke/Vermillion Humane Society Could Use Help Due To Cold And Overcrowding

PARKE/VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. – The Parke/Vermillion County Humane Society is working to find room for eight dogs.

The shelter is over crowded but they say that they will not leave them out in the cold.

Part of the problem is that more people are surrendering dogs rather than adopting them.

Weekend weather is expected to be dangerously cold so the animals are being kept anywhere they can find room.

Currently, the shelter is not accepting more dogs but will put people on a waiting list until more spaces become available.

If you can adopt a pet and give them a good forever home contact the shelter.  Contact information can be found on their Facebook page.
