TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Terre Haute Police Special Response Team was called out Thursday night to a home near 24th and Beech Streets.
Police say that they were called to help with a Department of Child Services investigation.
When officers arrived an armed man with a handgun turned off the lights in the home.
By 10:00 p.m. negotiators persuaded one man to come out and then by 11:00 p.m. another man and a child came out of the home.
The adults were placed in custody.
Both men, who have not yet been identified, had outstanding warrants.
No injuries were reported.
