MARTIN COUNTY, Ind. – The work continues to save dozens of animals from a Martin County Puppy Mill.

Over 72 dogs were removed from the property.

At least three have died since being removed due to poor health.

Rescuers say horses left on the property were removed Sunday and their health was very poor.

Rescues in Plainfield and Evansville are treating the animals.

The Martin County Humane Society is still in desperate need of help. They’re accepting monetary donations and supplies and they attempt to nurse very sick dogs back to health.

You can find the Martin County Humane Society Facebook page here.

Police arrested 73 year old Julia K. Arney. Police say that has surrendered possession and all rights of the animals to the Martin County Humane Society.
