SPRINGFIELD, Ill.  — Some business advocates seem to accept the likelihood that Illinois will soon adopt a $15-an-hour minimum wage.

New Gov. J.B. Pritzker has signaled he wants to sign a minimum wage law by late February

Business leaders are urging legislators to at least make it a tiered approach based on geography.

They say that would recognize vast cost-of-living differences between Chicago and downstate areas.
