VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Late last week (2/14/19) Vermillion County 911 received a report from On-Star of a single vehicle crash with airbags deployed on CR 280 East just south of Clinton.  Information given by On-Star said that the 2015 Camaro had hit a utility pole and two people were injured.

Rescue personnel and Deputies found that the car had lost control on the gravel road, and slid into a Duke Energy Power Pole snapping it off at its base.

Police say that the car had been recently purchased by 50 year old David Lawrence of Clinton.  Police say that he was the passenger and was extremely intoxicated and still drinking upon deputies’ arrival.

The driver was 29 year old Shea Carty of Clinton who police say was also intoxicated and injured. She also had a suspended license.

After both men were treated and released at the hospital they were taken to the Vermillion County Jail.
