No Bond Reduction For Man Who Allegedly Cut Child’s Tongue

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – A request for bond reduction has been denied for a Terre Haute man.

33-year-old Scott Edwards facing charges of battery resulting in serious bodily injury of a person younger than 14.

He allegedly cut the tongue of a 14-month-old boy with scissors.

The child also had bruises all over his body.

The mother, Holly Cota, left the child in Edwards care.

Edwards bond remains at $75,000 with no 10% allowed.

He is scheduled to stand trial June 10.
