TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Monday morning (3/4/19) at around 11:30 AM, Terre Haute Police were called to a two vehicle crash involving a THPD officer.

The crash occurred at 12th and Walnut and no major injuries were reported.

The investigation shows that the officer was traveling south on 12th, stopped at the stop sign, then proceeded through the intersection.

Once in the intersection, the police car was struck by the second vehicle, which had the right away.

According to department policy the officer was immediately taken for a drug/alcohol test.

The crash remains under investigation.
