Confessed Killer Pleads Not Guilty, Trial Date Set

MARSHALL, IL, – A confessed killer made a court appearance Monday.

Police said 24 year old Connor Scott confessed to killing 20 year old Kaylyn Whitaker over four years ago.

Whitaker, who was originally from Terre Haute, died inside Scott’s home in Martinsville, Illinois. Scott was her boyfriend at the time.

Scott appeared in court in Marshall, Illinois where he entered a plea of not guilty.

He faces two counts of first degree murder.

He remains behind bars in Clark County on a $1 million bond.

His trial date is set for May 14th.
