ROCKVILLE, Ind – The Rockville Police Department is warning residents about stray dogs on the lose.

The department says that they have received three complaints on Saturday about dogs running at large.

One woman was reportedly bit and there was a report of a dog that attempted to bite 4 different people including a mail person, who could not finish delivering the mail on East Indiana St, as well as the Officer who attempted to catch the dog.

Rockville Police remind you that it is against Indiana Law to allow your dog to stray from your property unattended and that could owners being ticketed.

They also remind you that Indiana Law also authorizes the destroying of an animal that is threatening someone.
