unnamed-47

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Around 11:30 Tuesday morning (3/12/19) Indiana State Trooper Eric Smith stopped a speeding vehicle on US41 at 7th Street for going 60 mph in a 40 mph zone.

The driver was 22 year old Christian E. Targett, of Terre Haute, IN.

The Trooper noticed that Targett was acting suspicious and there was a small plastic bag containing blue pills sitting in the front passenger seat of the vehicle.

A search turned up 24 blue, oval-shaped pills with XANAX written on them.

Targett did not have a valid prescription to possess the XANAX, and his drivers license was suspended.

He was arrested and taken to the Vigo County Jail.

He will make his first court appearance Friday.
