Rockville Police Arrest Illinois Man On Drug Charges After Incident

Rockville, Ind – Rockville Police have arrested an Illinois man on charges of possession of narcotics, marijuana and paraphernalia.

Late last week officers say that they went to an apartment on Pines Drive on a call about a possible drug deal.

Officers arrested Jason J. Dewey of Villa Grove, Illinois.

The resident of the apartment, Tammy Veech told police that Dewey was there to collect a $1,000 drug debt.

In addition to Parke County Police, an off duty detective from Hancock County was on scene. She was reportedly a family friend of Veech and said he was attempting to get Veech to voluntarily go to a drug rehabilitation facility.

Dewey was booked into the Parke County Jail.
