TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Thursday afternoon Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett held another of his “Mingle with the Mayor” events. The monthly meeting is designed for interested residents to ask questions, get answers and hear updates on various topics concerning the city.
The Mayor told attendees that he was pleased with the response he received in Indianapolis this week when he testified before a Senate committee on Terre Haute’s desire to have a casino here.
He said that there are others who would like to have a casino:
They Mayor also talked about on going negotiations with the local “Y” on reopening the pool. He said that a deal is close.
He also said that there are many paving projects to come this summer.
