TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Local City and County officials are asking for a little technical assistance to catch those who would dump their trash in the wrong place.

Vigo County Commissioners and Mayor Duke Bennett have asked the Vigo County Solid Waste Management Board for funding to purchase up to 10 trail cameras to try and catch those who would litter in the act.

The cameras would be placed in Vigo county parks and county road properties, trails and other areas in the county and in the city.

The Solid Waste Management Board approved $2,500 for all the cameras, including extra accessories.
