PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Thursday (4/11/19) morning around 10:30a.m. Parke County Deputies responded to what was believed to be a medical emergency in Bloomingdale that may have been drug related.

Prior to the deputies’ arrival, 56 year old Phillip Burchett of Bloomingdale fled the scene with a minor child.

He was found a short time later in the Marshall area.

Burchett was charged with Neglect of a Child and is currently being held in the Parke County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

The minor child was found safe.
