VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – On Friday Vermillion County Deputies were called to the Pilot Truck Stop about a man that was bothering employees and customers and was apparently intoxicated.
Officers found 65 year old Mark S. Calvin of Oakwood, Illinois in his vehicle.
According to store employees and video footage, Calvin entered “Employee only” areas of the store and was making customers uneasy.
After speaking with Calvin, officers noticed signs of alcohol impairment.
He consented to Standard Field Sobriety Tests. However, due to level of impairment and a medical condition, some of the tests were not performed for his safety.
Mark consented to a portable and then a certified Chemical test. His test result was .15% BrAC.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located a large amount of hydrocodone pills in an unmarked prescription bottle.
Calvin was taken into custody and transported to the Vermillion County Jail for booking and is currently being held in the Vermillion County Jail on a $10,000 bond with 10% allowed.
