Police Say They Have Solved 1972 Murder

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Terre Haute Police say that they have solved a nearly 47-year-old cold case.

19-year-old Pam Milam was a commuter student at Indiana State University in September 1972 when she was killed.

Autopsy results showed that her death was due to strangulation.

According to an account in the Terre Haute Star, her body was found bound and gaged in the trunk of her car near Lincoln Quad.

Terre Haute Police Chief Shawn Keen says that they will reveal the person responsible later today.
